An illustrious daughter of the University of Santo Tomas, Maria Liza A. Lopez-Rosario obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy as Magna Cum Laude. She received the Rector’s Award for Academic Excellence in 1984. In 1988, she finished Magna Cum Laude in Bachelor of Laws and received for the second time the Rector’s Award for Academic Excellence. Dr. Lopez-Rosario is a notable alumna of the UST Law Review.

In 1998, she finished Apto Cum Laude por Unanimidad in her Doctor of Civil Laws degree from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Dr. Lopez-Rosario worked as a Public Attorney I at the Public Attorney’s Office in 1991. She is currently a Partner at the Romulo Mabanta Buenaventura Sayoc & De Los Angeles Law Offices.

Dr. Lopez-Rosario teaches Persons and Family Relations, Obligations and Contracts, Credit Transactions and Civil Law Review I.
